MEN MASTERING SUCCESS MONDAY

Today we would like to recognize Kevin Claxton, President of The 100 Black Men of Greater Detroit, Inc. It’s because of leaders like you that we can continue to have a positive impact on the African-American youth.

Kevin Claxton has been a part of The 100 Black Men of Greater Detroit, Inc. for ten years, throughout which he has helped many improve their lives with his wisdom. He is a Human Resource professional and has worked with companies for banking, health care, Information Technology, and educational institutions. Currently he works as a Senior HR Business Partner and Recruiter for Beaumont Health System.

Kevin is passionate about the Detroit public schools system because he earned his Bachelor’s degree from Wayne State University and his Master’s degree from Central Michigan University. In 2009, he was one of ten men recognized by CNN for co-developing and co-leading an organization that mentors young Black men.

The organization helps young Black folks achieve success in education, health & wellness, economic empowerment, and leadership development through structured and purposeful mentoring. The organization addressed the recent police brutality attacks on the Black community stating that they will continue to help so those they mentor do not have to fear for their lives.
